Family seeks funds for Chuck Schuldiner edit second hard CONTROL denied


The family of the deceased leader of DEATH and CONTROL DENIED Chuck Schuldiner has opened a page, www.chuck-schuldiner.org , to raise funds towards get the expected second CONTROL DENIED album. A subscription of $ 25 will receive a commemorative t-shirt exclusive accede to a contest which will be drawn by different memorabilia of the group (you have to write an essay expressing "What music means to you Chuck.") The winners will be announced on December 13, 2009. This contest was announced in May, but appears to be postponed until now.

Chuck began work on the second CONTROL DENIED LP, tentatively titled "When Machine and Man Collide" in 2001 but failed to finish the job quickly decay to their illness. Other members of the group - bassist Steve DiGiorgio, vocalist Tim Aymar, guitarist Shannon Hamm and drummer Richard Christy - immediately announced its intention to complete the album in memory of Chuck, but a legal battle between Schuldiner's family and label Hammerheart Records (to whom Chuck was employed at the time of his death) poryecto left in abeyance.

Karmageddon Media - by Hammerheart Records - has since published several recordings with low-quality models on two CD's titled "Zero Tolerance" and "Zero Tolerance II".

Chuck Schuldiner succumbed to pneumonia after months of struggle against brain cancer and passed away on December 13, 2001.
